Extended Supervision Package Overview:
This course is for those who wish to start teach mindfulness with the support of Kathy Ward and documents and resources usually only available to those who enroll in the Mindful Academy International Level Two course.
Building on the learning from the Level One MBSR and MBA Teacher Training course, it is an opportunity to engage in a learning process designed to support and deepen understanding and skills in teaching and integrating trauma-sensitive mindfulness-based approaches in professional practice.
The supervision package supports your ongoing teacher training pathway and ensures that you meet the Good Practice Guidelines for teaching mindfulness.
What you'll learn:
How to get started with the preparation to teach mindfulness, often the most difficult step!
Detailed exploration of the MBSR Session Plan curriculum, both the explicit (content) and implicit (process) with tips and hints on how to prepare to teach
Explore the Spectrum of Teaching Intentions and learn how it supports each session
How to weave the session themes and intention through the whole session including the practices
How to adapt the core MBSR practices to match the spectrum, theme and intention of each session
Support for different teaching contexts and mindfulness-based approaches
Further develop your personal development portfolio with the new Teaching and Learning Companion (MBI-TLC) created by Gemma Griffith, Rebecca Crane, karunavira, and Lynn Koerbel to support your development of the six domains of Teaching Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Please note: This extended supervision package is only suitable for those who have previously attended a mindfulness-based Teacher Training Level 1 course with Mindful Academy International or an equivalent course with another training organization, please contact us if you are not sure about equivalency.
